There is nothing quite like a Zen Do Kai class. Not because of any single technique, but because of the range of them. Striking, grappling, throws, locks, weapons, and self defence, all in one system.
Zen Do Kai is a freestyle martial arts system founded by Bob Jones in 1970, built around practical, adaptable training that works for different sizes, strengths, and circumstances.
New students train beside people who have spent five, ten, twenty years or more on the mats. Some started here as children and now teach classes of their own.
Zen Do Kai has been taught at Spear Dojo in Perth’s northern suburbs since 1987. Today’s training is shaped by decades of experience, refinement, and work drawn from Karate, Muay Thai, Judo, Krav Maga, Arnis, Systema, and other disciplines from around the world.
There is always another level to grow into.
