Boxing demands your full attention.

There is no room to switch off in boxing. The work is physical, the thinking is constant, and improvement comes through repetition and attention to small details.

The first time a combination lands exactly the way it was drilled, you feel it immediately. Timing, balance, distance, composure. That is what keeps people coming back.

Training at Spear Dojo starts with technique, builds through conditioning, and is always brought back to practical application under pressure.

Walk into a session and you will see it straight away. People working pads, refining timing, sharpening combinations, and learning to stay composed as the pace increases.

Who you will train with

Coaching comes from instructors with decades of experience across competition, athlete development, Sports Science, and strength and conditioning.

On the mats you will be training alongside people at all stages. Some are there for fitness. Some are refining their striking. Some are preparing to compete. Everyone is working together, but at their own level.

What a boxing class at Spear Dojo looks like

Sessions bring together technical drilling, pad and bag work, movement, conditioning, and controlled sparring. The focus is on timing in the body, accuracy under pressure, awareness of distance, and staying composed when things speed up.

You develop the fundamentals that make boxing work: how to move efficiently, find the right range, stay balanced as you throw, and remain switched on even as fatigue builds. Over time these become physical habits rather than things you think about.

Our facility includes a full-size boxing ring, heavy bag stations, and open training space designed so you can move, repeat, and refine without interruption.

Boxing at Spear Dojo also sits alongside everything else we teach. Many members who train Zen Do Kai or Muay Thai use boxing to sharpen timing, footwork, and hand work, with the skills carrying directly across all striking disciplines.

Boxing for fitness and for fighting

Most people who walk into our boxing classes in Perth are not training to fight. They are there for the conditioning, the skill, and the satisfaction of learning something real. Boxing builds cardiovascular fitness, upper and lower body strength, coordination, and mental focus in a way that keeps you engaged because there is always something to refine.

For those who want to compete, the pathway is there. Our coaching team has the experience and accreditation to prepare fighters properly, and the standard of training reflects that whether you are sparring for the first time or preparing for a bout.
