SRS20306 Certificate 2 in Sport [ Coaching ]
If you are currently a martial arts coach or are interested in becoming a martial arts coach then getting your nationally recognised qualification is an important step to on-going career success.
This training package provides training necessary for attaining the knowledge required to be a nationally recognised martial arts coach. This training program will provide you with the business tools and advanced training methods and techniques to help you achieve a top rated martial arts business. Learn the skills necessary for implementing group and individualised martial arts training programs that are safe, effective and meet the requirements that have been set by government, community and industry associations
SRO20106 Certificate II in Sport and Recreation
Students/trainers wishing to undertake this qualification will be training towards gaining employment in the sport and recreation industry including Fitness centres. Certificate II can lead into the following job opportunities.

Sport Conditioning
Also known as Sport Performance Training, Functional Strength Training involves various methods of strength and conditioning which maximize an athlete’s performance. Traditional weight lifting, “Old School” exercises such as bodyweight exercises, Olympic and Strongman lifting, Outer, Inner, and Neuro-Muscular training methods, balance and off-center exercises, reflex re-conditioning drills, are all included in good functional training. Functional training goes way beyond the one-dimensional exercises familiar to most poeple. True athletic performance requires multiple planes of movement, while simultaneously engaging compound muscle groups. These multi-planar, compound movements are at the core of solid functional training. Our Functional Strength and Performance Training is integrated into every class and practice session. This is an integral component in building a well-rounded combat athlete that is often overlooked by most schools and trainers.

Defensive Tactics
Learn how to safely and effectively manage an aggressive person with empty hand techniques. This program is designed to provide you with effective options when confronted with a dangerous situation. The techniques taught are highly recommended and used by law enforcement agencies worldwide as they provide the greatest safety for the officer and stop the offender quickly, easily and cause minimal injury.
This program is conducted through practical training, scenarios, role plays and group discussions. Proven methods from PPCT are incorporated
Close Quarter Combat
CQC is Stand-Up Fighting, Grappling and Ground-Fighting, and Weapons Training. Techniques such as punching, kicking, blocking, throwing, pressure points, joint locks, submission tactics, weapon disarming, etc. are all studied. With its wide variety of techniques and tactics, it is a combat art form that can easily be customized to suit any person of any size and strength. Thus, the student receives a totally adaptable education that prepares him/her for real-life combat in the best possible way. The training is based on devastating techniques from Zen Do Kai [Aust ], Kapap [ Israeli ] and Systema [ Russian ] fighting ststems. Be warned this training is hard and prepares you for real combat in a hostile situation.
Knife Defence
The Stick and Knife Fighting Arts that we teach are weapons-based arts from the Philippines ,and military systems This training teaches the student how to effectively deal with attacks from impact and edged weapons, as well as single or multiple attackers. This system will teach the student how to defend and attack against a variety of weapons, both impact-based and edged. Regardless of whether or not you carry a weapon, you should understand the physical and psychological aspects of weapons combat. This is one of the best classes you can ever take for practical self-defense training.

Our aim is to help you as much as possible to gain the skills and knowledge you need for your qualification. If you are having trouble with your training at all, we can help by:
Giving you a relaxed, stress-free environment in which to do your training and assessment
Avoiding discrimination of all kinds.
Giving extra tuition and tutorials if you are falling behind
Allowing you to repeat part of the program if necessary
Adjusting the training and assessment to meet your needs—as long as this is reasonable and still means you have the skills and knowledge before you get your qualification.

If you know something about the subject already …
… then you might not have to study the whole program! We offer two ways of dealing with this:
1. Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
This is a way to give you credit for skills you already have. These skills could come from work experience, life experience, hobbies or sports you have participated in.
If you get RPL for a unit, you do not need to sit in the classroom and study it again. It will just appear on your transcript.
To apply for RPL, just ask one of our staff. You will be guided through every stage of the process. You will have to provide evidence of having these skills. This could be as simple as reports from other people. As well as the explanation from a staff member, we will also give you a form to help you to work out what kind of evidence you need.
2. Credit transfer
If you have studied the same subject before, we can also give you credit for this. If you have done some of the same units of competency at another RTO (ie units of competency with the same codes as those on the flyer for your qualification), it’s easy. Just show us your certificate or statement of attainment and transcript. We will make a copy and check with the RTO that issued it to verify it. If you studied another kind of course, such as a coaching course in another country, we will assess it in a similar way to RPL.

This is very easy! Just fill in an application form and pay your fee. Make sure you have read this brochure, the flyer for your course, and all the information on the application form and fees and charges leaflet first. Entry requirements for each qualification are listed on the flyer. If you meet the requirements and there is a place available for you, you will be accepted.
When I finish, what will I get?
When you graduate, you will receive:
A qualification certificate, if you have completed the whole qualification
A statement of attainment, if you have units of competency that are not counting towards a full qualification
A transcript, listing your assessment results.
The qualification certificate and statement of attainment are nationally recognised, meaning that employers and college all around the country can accept them.
